ALIX NOËL-GUÉRY

Pronouns: il/he/him

PhD student, Philosophy

guery.alix@courrier.uqam.ca

Title of the thesis: The Tree-structure Sintergic Brain: African and Native Art-therapy

My PhD thesis focuses on mindfulness states accompanied by music as traditionally practiced among Indigenous peoples of Africa and the world, and the harmonic connectivity of the physiological states they induce. It will investigate whether these states' scientific study has been neglected for colonialist reasons that do not consider indigenous knowledge as scientific.

Track: Cognitive Sciences
