As part of the Master's program, I'll be working ambitiously to explore land and territory. I will attempt to trace a logic of settlement, occupation of the body of the land and uprooting, as presented in the work of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, through a detailed analysis of the concepts of territorialization, deterritorialization and reterritorialization. Drawing on these conceptual tools, I would like to pursue an in-depth analysis of the logic of settlements, hoping to extend this analysis to examine the possibility of identifying one or more colonial logics which, even at the heart of so-called postcolonial societies, persists in its own reification.
